New volunteer role

Could you be our new Volunteer Coordinator?

This is a voluntary role that would suit someone interested in people and looking to make a difference as part of our dedicated team.

Purpose of the role:

To coordinate the recruitment, training, inductions, ongoing development and consistency of experience of the volunteer workforce of Waveney foodbank.

Key Skills

  • IT skills [confident / competent user of email, Microsoft Office and internet]
  • Empathy and a good understanding of vulnerable people and those who are disadvantaged, marginalised or from a socially excluded background
  • Effective management of supported volunteers
  • Ability to work unsupervised and independently
  • Numerate and comfortable interpreting statistical data
  • Negotiating skills and the ability to resolve conflicts
  • Current UK driving licence and own car that can be used for this role is desirable

Hours:  approx 2 days per week, flexible to suit
