It’s the end of an era at Waveney Foodbank.

After six incredible years of dedication and growth, Gina Cole is stepping down as Chair of Waveney Foodbank.

Gina joined as a trustee in 2019 and quickly took on the role of Chair. Under her leadership, the foodbank has transformed from a small operation with no paid staff and a single van, to a thriving organisation with two employees and over 120 amazing volunteers.

Reflecting on her time, Gina shared:

 “It’s time for new blood to bring fresh ideas and energy. I’ve hugely enjoyed my time here and I’m proud of what we’ve achieved together.”

Waveney Foodbank now supports communities across Norfolk and Suffolk, and was recently named Community Organisation of the Year 2025 at the South Norfolk Community Awards!

We thank Gina for her passion and leadership, and look forward to the next chapter as a new Chair is appointed later this month.
