Waveney Foodbank named Community Organisation of the Year!

Waveney Foodbank has been named Community Organisation of the Year 2025 in the South Norfolk Community Awards.

Organised by South Norfolk Council the event celebrates the hard work of community organisations and volunteers across the area.

At a packed ceremony held on July 4 at Bawburgh Golf Club,a number of local organisations and individuals were celebrated for the work they do locally including Waveney Foodbank which came first in the category of Community Organisation of the Year. Foodbank trustee Jo Broadbent and Project Manager Matthew Scade attended and were shocked and delighted when the foodbank was announced the winner.

They said receiving the award was a proud moment and was testimony to all the hard work done by the foodbank’s team of volunteers and supporters.
